After a full recovery from the last Atriarch incident, I was back and ready to try again. I actually got somewhere this time too! After the log-in, I was presented with 1 character slot with 5 different species to choose from, after some thought, I made my choice...

The client then assigned me the name of newbie_034. I guess this is one of the features they plan to add sometime after release. The screen changed once more, into something more beautiful than I could ever imagine. The fantastic world of Atriarch had appeared before me, and what a sight... breath taking to say the least.

After taking in the full glory of the landscape for about 5 minutes... the world started to change. The ground suddenly had a new texture!

It was incredible! How could a game load a texture THAT BIG! I stretched out as far as the eye could see, this was truly magic in the making. After taking at least 100 screenshots of the terrain I decided to journey west, for I heard there was much adventure to the west. Either way, I turned to what looked to be west, and started my journey.





After 3 hours of cutting a path through the rough terrain, I stumbled upon a curious object. It was like nothing I had ever seen before, at first I thought it might have been an alien creature. To test this theory, I touched it, but it did not react to me.





I gave it a little push, and still nothing. Then I stood over it, and pulled it off the ground and set it aside. I examined the underside of the creature, it appeared to be made of the same substance as a cork you put in a bottle of wine. It left a deep hole, in fact I couldn't see the bottom of it.

Seconds later the ground started to shake. I was panicking, but what could I do?!? The ground tremored greatly but I stood my ground, hoping I would not be hit by flying debris.

The hole seemed to grow and the edges of the world started to come toward me, fast. I tried to move but it was useless, the hole was getting bigger and the edge of the terrain was coming toward me. There was no where to run.

The hole sucked the entire world down into it self. All I could see was the brilliant Atrianan sky. I stood there for a few moments.. and then...
